Fire scythe 9 so far is my best weapon. 290/290 Those of you with high str/dex Lightning Zwei would be awesome. sucks i already made mine raw just to get through some of the lower level parts. Lightning spear isnt bad at all but upgrading another weapon with higher base stats would definitely make a bigger difference. Raw halberd helps get through some tough parts early in the game as well.Gold helmed armor is definitely a very good set of armor if you want to have good defense and be close or under 50% burden. Latrecs gold armor is also a good set. It is not as light as the gold helmed but the extra poise it gives makes swinging alot easier since gold helmed has no poise. The crimson set is great for when your in the hollow or the depths or fighting seath the scaleless up close. I tend to carry all 3 on me and switch em around. Head peice i found to be great for me since the grass crest shield doesnt block everything… Mask of the child. Does the same exact thing that the grass crest shield. If you fail to get it to drop off the boss in the catacombs just choose to forgive patches and he will show up in firelink shrine and sell you all three masks as well as humanity and other goodies. Even after forgiving him i ended up having to kill him afterwards to get him to show up in firelink shrine.

I think DJ Max went the furthest with this. For DJ Max Trilogy, you need the disc + a USB dongle that comes with the game. The dongle holds your saved data and is required to even start the game Lose it? Enjoy shelling out another $60+ buying another full copy of the game.

Also, dongle is a funny word.

I can see why Steam or GOG.com are popular. You can buy them immediately on release. You don’t have to go out to the store or wait for the game to arrive. I just prefer having physical copies and both, Steam and GOG, are still the best Digital Distribution services out there.

The thing that irks me the most is, it gives publishers too much power. Have you read about the case with a User, who couldn’t play Dragon Age 2 because he got banned for posting an unpopular opinion on the Bioware forums? And Stanley Woo even said “Yeah well better follow the rules next time”. EA and Bioware wanted to stick with this decision but it caused a huge shitstorm and that poor guy got unbanned. While that’s probably a single case, the whole thing just doesn’t sit well with me.

And from what I’ve seen when I was on Live, Games on Demand was pretty shit. There was no price difference at all with those games (Meaning the price was the same as the retail edition). The only thing they did right with GoD was adding Tales of Vesperia. Recently (I think a few months ago) Sony began adding retail games to PSN too. They’re mostly overpriced as well. And in that regard both Sony and M$ still have a lot to learn I think.

Overall don’t get me wrong, I don’t hate PC gaming, I know how it can be 1000x better than console gaming, I just hate the way the industry went.

I buy my games exclusively on steam, so DRM isn’t really an issue for me. The DRM for Steam, I consider it to be fair and not intrusive. Ubisoft games seem to be the only ones that are an exception to this. Also, there is a digital distribution called GOG.com that offers DRM free games. But I know if you prefer physical copies and no DRM, consoles are probably a better choice. I prefer PC also because digital distribution is more established than it is on consoles, Xbox has games on demand but they don’t have every game and games on demand versions come out months after the disc release.

Dungeon Siege 3 turned out to be incredible mediocre. It could have been so much more, but it felt like…like…there was no progression in the game.
